Yes , this has been an year of more books. Since I was mostly at home , enjoying the bliss of being a mother , I read more books than I usually do . So before the year ends , let me just review my reads :)
Re-reads
New Reads
Jeffrey Archer - The sins of the father , First among equals , Good but not great as some of his other books.
The devotion of suspect , by Keigo Higashino - Too good a thriller . Story starts with a scene where the murder actually happens . So you already know the victim, murderer, and all details . So what is the suspense element here?Read to find out :) A page-turner.
The inscrutable Americans , by Anurag Mathur - Story of an Indian student in America. The Indian is made to look stupid with his "Indian English , oily hair, inability to get a girlfriend and the way he stares at everything American as if its from another world :P Didn't like it .Either the book was written decades ago or the writer is still living in the old world.
My feudal lord , by Tehmina Durrani - Real life story of the author who is physically and mentally abused by her husband.Too disturbing and after few pages I just felt like shouting at the author "Why don't you just leave him!" , which she does eventually but a little too late.
John Grisham ,A painted house - Very sweet story of young Luke and his innocent little world :) Kept me smiling throughout the read :)
Immortals of Meluha , by Amish - A book which makes you think more about , or maybe even change, some of your beliefs . Eagerly waiting to read "The Nagas" , the next part of the series.
Guess this is enough for part 1 ;) More to come in the next part of this post :)

Sidney Sheldon - Nothing lasts forever,The sky is falling.I have lost interest in these , I used to read them a lot some years back :D Is this part of "growing up" ? :)

I am facing a writer's block. I'll also write a post on books to get out of it. Thanks Rashmi :D
A painted house looks like a nice, light read. Of course I ll read Meluha when I get my hands on it, but I somehow don't have high expectations from it.
Wow... I never realised you are such a voracious reader... :D
